This guided tour reveals the scandalous, surprising, and triumphant story of Ouray's crown jewel, now beautifully restored and hosting world-class performances.
You'll explore:
- The iconic Mesker iron façade that survived two catastrophic floods
- Stunning restored 1888 architecture and backstage secrets (cribs for prostitution, anyone?)
- How a $160,000 mining fortune sparked a cultural revolution
- The building's many lives: from high society balls to a Texaco station to today's thriving performance venue.
