ABOUT THE FILM

A Monster Calls (2016) follows Conor, a young boy whose life is upended by his mother’s illness. Then, at 12:07 each night, a towering monster begins to visit—bringing three stories, and asking Conor to tell the one truth he is most afraid to face.

A beautiful, dark, and deeply human film about grief, imagination, and finding the courage to say what hurts.

Because sometimes the monster is not there to scare us. Sometimes it arrives to help us survive the truth.
